Every Sunday’s an extreme test of efficiency for me.I’m currently taking NM3209 Creating Interactive Media, and there is a weekly SNAP (a visual, drag-and-drop programming language) assignment due on Sunday, 11:59PM. Somehow, I always leave the assignment to the last minute and only begin doing it on Sunday night itself. At 11:00PM, 59 minutes before the deadline, is where my concentration is at its optimum level and my efficiency at its peak.
However, things can get quite scary when I get stuck at certain problems. Thats when I panic, grit my teeth, clench my fist, grab my own head and wonder why I didn’t start earlier.
But I’m perfectly aware of the reason. As I’m writing this, I haven’t started on this week’s assignment and it’s due in a few hours. Procrastination is the culprit.
This is one of my assignments for my other module, NM3228 Interactive Sequential Art.
I guess it really helps when you have a passion for what you’re doing because you can just spend hours and hours doing it without feeling tired! I’m worried about my health though, because I can just stare the computer screen and draw till the next morning before I finally collapse on my bed from exhaustion. It’s been the case for the past week – sleeping after the sun rises. I probably need an alarm on my phone to ask me to go sleep (lol the irony)…
That being said, I actually do get enough sleep.
If I sleep late, I wake up late. If I sleep early, I still wake up late (hehehe). I slept for a whopping 16 hours on Wednesday, waking up around at 7PM on Thursday evening (I don’t have school on Thursdays). And I pampered myself with a hearty dinner at Ichiban Boshi and Swenson’s ice cream after that 🙂
That’s happy me during midweek, where no assignments were due for the time being 🙂
The hearty dinner I was talking about. The amount of salmon present…
Swenson’s ice cream never disappoints! 🙂 And it tastes even better when your friend treats you wahaha thanks Roy!
This is what happens when you’re too obsessed with your favourite colour =p
Did a short cover on Jay Chou’s 安静 yesterday night!

[Motivation of the Day: "Fake it till you make it."] If you were in NCHS in 2009, you might have heard (although i doubt you'll remember haha) me singing this song for our school's NDP talent quest! I was still a shy 15-year-old girl who wasn't used to having so many pairs of eyes staring at me while I sang. I'm glad that over the years, I have grown to embrace my fears and slowly become more confident. While currently I still still occasionally do weird stuff when performing (like swaying around or being crazy oops), its different because now, I enjoy every moment on stage! 😁 And yes umm I'm in the toilet, its my favourite jamming venue at home 😂 #singstagram #cover #爱一直闪亮 #江美琪 #南侨人 #yokezsings
Another 15-second cover of 江美琪’s 爱一直闪亮 I made (in the toilet) today 🙂 This song has a really special meaning to me!

It was the first song I ever sang for a competition that I got in to the finals. I was still a shy 15-year-old girl who wasn’t used to having so many pairs of eyes staring at me while I sang.
